Hot in Herre

At Sunday School yesterday morning, Robert K gave an overview of Paul's first missionary journey. I thought I'd speak on a couple of questions that God brought to my attention that morning.

One question was this: Are you hot for the Lord? Kind of a funny way to put it, but if you think back to the point when you were first saved, you were probably on fire for the Lord. You wanted to go all out, serving Him, thinking of Him only, wanting to share the gospel with anyone and everyone. God was your number one priority; nothing else mattered. The cares of the world were the farthest things from your mind. Robert referenced the church in Antioch in Acts 11. It was a new church, most likely with relatively new believers. There was teaching and preaching going on, much rejoicing, and God's grace pouring forth. This was a church that was on fire. Is this the same way with us?

One last question: Are you all about God? In everything you do, is it all for God? Are you praying for God's will or are you looking after your own interests? When you work or go to school, is it for yourself or is it for God's glory? When you minister, is God the focus or is it something else? I pray that God would be our all in all.
